Federation of Somali Trade Unions (FESTU) welcomes the landmark rulling by the Somalia's high court which endorsed the Elections of our affiliate the National Union of Somali Journalists (NUSOJ), which took place Mogadishu's City Palace Hotel on May 2016.
"We welcome the land mark ruling the Somalia’s High Court with regard to the NUSOJ elections.” Dr. Abdirahman Hassan Omar, FESTU vice president said, "Now, victory is certain for not only NUSOJ but also Somali workers at large.”
FESTU called the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) and the International Trade Union Confederation to respect the law and support the legitimate leadership of the NUSOJ and FESTU. <END>
