A landmine blast has hit a military convoy transporting African Union peacekeepers in Somalia's capital of Mogadishu. The IED improvised explosive device went off two Somali soldiers those reached the scene and others wounded after another landmine blasts.

The AMISOM military have fired bullets after the blasts as the residents of Coca-cola village in Banadir Region Confirmed radio samba in Mogadishu, while causalities still remain.

AMISOM is yet to comment on the bomb attack, which was the latest in series of IED explosions targeting Somali and AU forces in the street of areas controles.

Al-Shabaab has lost key urban strongholds in south and central Somalia, including Mogadishu to SNA and AMISOM since 2011, however, the Militant group still capable of launching sporadic raids in the country.

Al Shabab militants group is attempting to topple the western backed Somalia’s government and in the past few weeks it have intensified attacks against government officials, security forces and AMISOM troops as well at their camp.
