The Ministry of Finance has on the 8th of June 2017 presented before the cabinet the National Budget and after discussion and debate the cabinet first agreed the audit report of the previous budget and the implementation of the 2017 budget. The cabinet has agreed and approved the new budget, comprises of $ 246 million dollars, which the government will work on for the rest of the year.

President Farmajo laid the foundation stone for the construction of Federal Government center in Jubbaland State

The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed (Farmajo) has on 6th of June 2017 reached port town of Kismayo the headquarters of the regional State of Jubbaland. President Farmajo has laid the foundation stone of the construction of the Federal Government Center in Jubbaland State. The tour duty of the President was part of the plan and the political out-reach to the entire locations in country in order to observe the situation of Jubbaland. During his two days visit the President has had talks with the President of Jubbaland Ahmed Madobe, the Jubbaland officials, the Somali National Army and the public.

Somalia making follow-up on the implementation of the decisions of the London Conference

The Prime Minister of Somalia His Excellence Hassan Ali Khayre and the UK Ambassador to Somalia Mr. David Concar co-chaired a vital meeting on the 7th of June 2017. Basically the meeting was all about the implementation of the outcome of the London Conference, especially in the security sector and how to work jointly on the processing of the agreement. The key points which were focused on in the meeting include, re-building the national forces. The meeting was also attended by Ministers from the federal government and most of the foreign ambassadors in the country.

Consultative conference of the Interior Ministers in the country held in Jowhar

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia has held national conference in Jowhar town, the conference was basically about consultation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and its counterpart Ministries in the regional States in order to implement of a joint program to accelerate the systems of the local governments in the country.

Approval of the National Youth Policy conference held in Mogadishu

The deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia His Excellence Mahdi Mohamed Guled (Khadar), has on the 7th of June 2017 attended the approval of the national youth policy conference, which was organized by the Ministry of Youth & Sports. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Youth, the Deputy Minister, regional States Ministers of Youth, Youth Organizations, Benadir Region Youth, the civil society organizations, and Youth from districts in Benadir region. The Minister of Youth and Sports of the federal government of Somalia H.E. Khadija Mohamed Dirie said that the best advices from the conference will be accumulated for the strenghtening of the National Youth Policy.

The Ministry of Humanitarian and Disaster Management has received 40 containers of food from the government of Indonesia

ACT organization of Indonesia has on the 5th of June 2017kii handed over 40 containers of food aid to the Minister of Humanitarian and Disaster Management of the Federal Government of Somalia Drs. Maryan Qasim Ahmed. The food-aid intended for the vulnerable people in the regions who are affected by the drought in the country. The National Drought Committee, the Benadir regional administration, some of the district commissioners in Benadir region and some other officials were present at the handing over of the aid to the Ministry of Humanitarian and Disaster Management of Somalia.

The Citizens fully supported the Government's Activities for last 100 Days

The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia His Excellence Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed (Farmajo) and Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khayre have on the 4th of June 2017, addressed the people at Benadir Stadium (Conis Stadium). The Citizens come out in large numbers supporting the government’s activities for the 100 days, sine president Farmajo was elected. The Prime Minister summed up what the government has achieved, while the president has wrapped up the meeting, and told the citizens the vision of the government and how its determined to reach one person one vote election in the country.

The Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications & Technology of the Federal Government of Somalia has on the 6th of June 2017, officially announced that its providing the government institutions the use of .SO e-mails which is the national symbol of Somali Internet.

The stabilization operation in Mogadishu city is going on well

The Federal Government of Somalia has started the implementation of the decisions of the cabinet of Ministers of the 11th of May 2017 with 1,500 joint forces who have been in training and awareness sessions for a while. Many weapons and individuals who are now under investigation were seized during this operation which is now going on well. Duration of the operation, terrorist acts, which were intended to harm civilians have been foiled.
