Request for Concept Papers

Development Alternatives Inc. (DAI) is managing the World Bank funded Somali Business Catalytic Fund program across the Somali peninsula. The objective of the fund is to catalyze Somali entrepreneurship into businesses which provide long-term benefits to the economies of Somaliland, Puntland, and South Somalia and boost economic growth by establishing and expanding profitable businesses, strengthening business productivity through funding the development of business and technical services, as well as stimulating financial sectors to provide financial services for businesses.

DAI invites local companies from Somaliland, Puntland and South Somalia to apply for the World Bank/Somali Business Catalytic Fund. Successful Concept Papers will be invited to submit full grant applications in August. DAI expects to fund up to 45 grants (depending on funding availability).
