    Mission to rescue KDF soldiers ongoing as bodies arrive

The four caskets covered with Kenyan flags were received by Ms Omamo and top military officers including the Chief of Defence Forces General Samson Mwathethe at Nairobi's Wilson Airport, at 10pm on Monday.

Two chaplains and an Imam prayed before the bodies were carried away in ambulances.

Ms Omamo: "Consequently we expect to see more of our soldiers in the coming days. We appreciate the support we are receiving from Kenyans. We urge patience and we shall keep the nation abreast. It's a complex situation and we are handling it meticulously."
