 Sweden and Sida, led by Annika Jayawardena, Deputy Head of Eastern and Southern Africa at Sida, and including Per Karlsson, Head of Development Cooperation for Somalia at the Swedish Embassy, to discuss strengthening cooperation on disaster management, disaster risk reduction, and early warning systems.

The delegation also toured SoDMA’s Data Center to learn more about the agency’s early warning data collection, analysis, and dissemination capabilities.

Commissioner Mahamud Moallim thanked Sweden and Sida for their continued partnership and support in strengthening Somalia’s disaster management capacity and community resilience.
