The Somali Media Association (SOMA) has distributed digital voice recorders –SONNY Type to SOMA member media stations for the occasion of the observation of the world radio day 2019 and the 6th anniversary of the establishment of SOMA. The radio voice recorder equipments have been purchased with the support of IMS/FOJO to be supplied to the journalists of SOMA member media stations. The radio voice recorder equipments will eventually assist the journalists to prepare enhanced radio programs to be shared and transmitted throughout all SOMA member media houses across Somalia. The procurement of the radio voice recorder equipments is expected to further strengthen and advance the capacity of the media houses and journalists to prepare and produce improved quality radio programs for public clear reception of standard radio programs
