With an official time of 12min 43sec, Mohamed Ali finished first in the Under 15 Boys 4000m race, a feat he has accomplished several times this season since his breakout at the English Athletics championship in Julu where he won the 3000m. Since then, Ali has been finished at the top of the table in many races this fall/winter season.

Two weeks before his victory in Oxford on December 9th, Mohamed Ali won the 3000m British Athletics Cross Challenge in Liverpool and the 4.4KM at the British Athletics Cross Challenge in Milton Keanes early November.

Mohamed Ali runs for the Ealing Southall and Middlesex Athletics Club. He is a natural talent, he currently holds the British all-time 3000m record for his age group, in addition to the all-time record for an indoor 1500m. His lanky figure and pace have already begun to draw comparisons to 4x Olymic Gold Medallist and fellow British-Somali, Mo Farah.
