NUSOJ provides assistance to injured journalists and to families of killed journalists
Mogadishu truck bombing on Saturday 14th of October, 2017, as well as to funeral expenses for two killed journalists. The Union’s Secretary General, Mohamed Ibrahim Moalimuu and President 1500 $ to each family on behalf of NUSOJ. Three journalists who also sustained minor injuries were paid a total of 1.159 nine $ in order to cover their medical costs. This emergency fund for Somali journalists in need was granted by Free Press Unlimited in response to the deadly attack of October 14th, 2017.
